“Can anesthesia cause diarrhea?”
After general anesthesia, I have diarrhea already 3 days. Is it normal?

Very unlikely to be any anesthetic drugs, but the narcotics that we give cause constipation. Diarrhea after surgery is possible due to the antibiotics taken to prevent surgical site infections.
So three days of diarrhea is abnormal. Any drugs given during the course of your anesthetic that may cause diarrhea would be long gone out of your system one day after anesthesia. Chances are that you may have contracted a gastrointestinal virus before your surgery and the symptoms are a coincidence. Unless of course you have been taking a stool softener to combat the constipation that comes along with opiate pain medicine to control your post-operative pain.
