Acupuncture can help with some cases of torn meniscus, but it depends on the severity of the tear. I would suggest an MRI and consultation with a surgeon first. An acupuncturist could certainly help you with recovery after surgery.
The pain but not to reset the meniscus
Yes.
Yes. I encourage you to book a session with your practitioner of choice to get help with relief.
Yes it can help to reduce pain and inflammation but it will not heal the tear.
It’s a structured damage. You can try acupuncture. Majority of patients feel less pain and better range of motion. Full recovery takes time. For severe cases, they need surgery.
It will help with the pain, but it will not repair a torn meniscus
Acupuncture can help the symptoms caused by torn meniscus disc and also improve the recovery.
Acupuncture can speed the healing and minimize pain of most any injury.
This is a very good questions, the answer depends how bad of your torn meniscus. Usually if it is a bad tearing, which you might need a surge to treat it first and acupuncture can speed up the healing. If it is just torn or slightly tearing. acupuncture treat very well with it

Hi,

Acupuncture does helped to decrease pain and also to bring circulation on the knees to help to heal. Please consult your local acupuncturist.

Yes, it can help, but since it is a ligament, it takes up to 3 years of consistent treatments.
Good afternoon,
Acupuncture will help torn meniscus to a certain degree, further discuss that with your acupuncturist.

Yes, it does
Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine are very good and effective for healing the bones, muscles, sinews & tendons. As long as it's just the meniscus, usually complete healing can be accomplished with the appropriate treatment of a quarter to half the year. If there are more complications involved like fractures, then a more dire approach like surgery may be
required. Ask your primary to make sure acupuncture would be a safe alternative way to help if you're trying to avoid surgery.

Many studies have shown acupuncture is beneficial to treat pain and reduce inflammation. We have had patients who underwent surgery for torn meniscus and others who didn't. The results were about the same in both groups. Patients had a reduction of their symptoms.

Acupuncture can relieve some of your pain from a torn meniscus but you may have to have surgical intervention to repair it.
Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about the torn meniscus. To be honest, recovery of a meniscus tear depends on a few factors. Your age is in your favor, but other variables can influence recovery such as general well-being, nutrition, and rest. The meniscus is notoriously low on blood innervation and that is where the acupuncture can excel. Localized points can promote the flow of energy and blood; thereby encouraging recovery. Diet, rest, and overall health would be other factors to work on during recovery.
I hope this helps answer your question.
It can only help with the pain and inflammation. It cannot heal the torn meniscus.
It can help with the symptoms (pain, inflammation) from it, but not likely repair it.
This would depend on if it is a partial tear or if it's torn and is in need of surgery. It is always helpful with pain management, and with accelerating ones healing, but I cannot say that this would cure or completely heal the tear.
Hello! Yes it can!
Acupuncture can help expedite the healing process of a torn meniscus by promoting circulation of blood and bring fresh blood to the area where the pain/issue is. Fresh blood means can increase the healing process.
Hello & thank you for your question! Yes, acupuncture is beneficial for a meniscus tear. Acupuncture helps the body repair itself through needling local (and more distal) acupuncture points to increase circulation of blood (which is of course rich in oxygen and nutrients essential for healing), body fluids, and energy to alleviate pain and inflammation, enhance the body's healing mechanism, and reduce recovery time. There are also topical liniments available to help promote good circulation, help ease pain, decrease inflammation, strengthen connective tissues, and further shorten recovery time.
Yes. if it is partially torn. For the completely torn, you need surgery.
No, it can't , but it can reduce the pain or swelling.
Yes, acupuncture can be helpful to treat a torn meniscus.

Yes. Acupuncture can help to treat both the pain associated with the tear and speed up the healing of the tear itself. Your practitioner may also prescribe liniments to aid the healing process.
Depends on how bad the tear is. Acupuncture can definitely help you manage the pain/discomfort. If it's a minor/small tear acupuncture and Chinese medicine can be a good treatment option, but if it's a severe tear you might need surgery for a full remedy.

For the best results, please make sure you're seeing a provider who is licensed as an acupuncturist in your state. Outside CA, you can use the "Find a Practitioner" lookup at NCCAOM.org to get a list of folks local to you.
