Yes. Acupuncture with herbs, and sometimes massage, can treat and help relieve stress, anxieties and depression. I suggest you try it.
Yes, acupuncture helps. You should take herbal medicine at the same time. Most of the time, depression comes from a weak heart or inflamed liver.
Yes, I have a lot of success using acupuncture on patients with depression, but it does not replace your physician’s recommendation for medication.
Depression and anxiety are two of my favorite things to treat because acupuncture works so well. So that would be a big YES, it can help with depression. I have even been able to help patients get off their meds (under the supervision of their doctors, of course.)
Yes, acupuncture helps depression. Please find an acupuncturist near you and help you soon.

Oftentimes yes, acupuncture can help with depression. Find an acupuncturist that you are comfortable with and give it a try. At the very least, you should feel very cared for.
I hope you feel better soon!

Acupuncture has helped so many of my patients with depression— even those with severe levels! Consistency and persistence are key. Chinese Herbal medicines assist the process. Expect weekly visits for 3-6 months, depending.
Acupuncture can help a patient with depression. We also incorporate exercises and nutritional guidance to complement our therapy.

Yes it absolutely can. Acupuncture naturally increases serotonin and dopamine levels, leaving the patient more relaxed and with an overall sense of satisfaction.

Yes... in my experience, marvelously well.
Acupuncture can help with depression and we have natural Chinese remedies/formulas you can take to support you at home as well.
Acupuncture can help with depression. The acupuncturist would need to properly diagnose the root cause of the depression, in order to come up with the proper treatment protocol.
Hello & thank you for your question. Yes, acupuncture is great for emotional concerns such as depression and anxiety, and I have treated it many times in clinic with great successes. It is believed acupuncture helps regulate serotonin and dopamine to regulate mood.
If your depression is on the mild to moderate end of the spectrum, then yes, acupuncture can probably help. Studies show that acupuncture matches the performance of standard prescription medications in mild to moderate depression.
If your depression is more severe, acupuncture can still help in a couple of ways:
1. Acupuncture will still help with the depression itself.
2. The combination of acupuncture and meds usually outperforms either modality alone. At the same time, acupuncture can help to mitigate drug side-effects.
For a situation like this, it's fairly important that you see a provider who is licensed as an acupuncturist in your state. You want someone who attended and graduated from a school of Chinese medicine and, ideally, is board certified as a provider of Chinese medical services. If you're not in CA, you can start with the "Find a Practitioner" look up at NCCAOM.org to get a list of local providers.

Yes, absolutely acupuncture can help with depression! There are many reasons why someone might have depression. When using acupuncture to treat depression, I might treat one person with completely different points or methods than another person. During the intake process, we would dive into what depression is like for you specifically so I know how to treat you specifically for what's causing your depression.
It can, but I don't suggest completely avoiding medication as it is necessary in some cases. Acupuncture is a complete form of medicine that is capable of treating any ailment. But the effects can take time and sometimes, people need something more to get through the tougher stages of their condition. Eastern and western medicine work beautifully together. If medication is necessary for you at this time, acupuncture can help to support it and treat any side effects. By using the two together, you can also work on decreasing your dose without experiencing any discontinuation syndrome (withdrawal symptoms without the addiction part).
Medications (and medicine as a whole) are less scary when you fully understand them. And I don't mean consulting the internet. Talk directly with professionals. Don't be afraid to ask questions, look for second opinions, or tell your healthcare professionals everything that you're feeling. A teacher once told me that if you can't teach a concept to someone, then you don't fully understand it. If they can't or won't explain everything to you, then walk away. If something is happening that is not within their scope of practice, they can direct you to someone who can be of better help. If they can't or refuse to do that, then walk away.
Remember that YOU are in control of and responsible for your body and your health. Fear is what leads to mistrust and doubt. Don't let fear of the unknown control your decisions. Knowledge truly is power, and that's all you need to get on the path to wellness.
