Can antidepressants cause weight gain?

I'm 35 and I've been using antidepressants for a year. I noticed that I gained some weight. Is this because of the medication? Can they cause weight gain?

Antidepressants are not all equal. All of them have more or less serious side effects, but only one of them, namely Fontex is notorious for causing weight gain. The mechanism is not entirely clear, but the result is often striking. Consult your physician if you're having trouble with your medication.
