Surgeon Questions Appendicitis

Can appendicitis be related to nausea?

My son has been having pan on the right side of his body and has been nauseous for six hours straight. Could this be related to appendicitis? He's 9 years old.

Nausea is often related to appendicitis
If the nausea started before the pain, this can be gastroenteritis, otherwise appendicitis.
If the pain persists, take him to the ER.
Definitely can be related with appendicitis. Gastric vomit can be associated, too, as well as tenderness in the right lower abdomen, loss of appetite, and finally fever.
Yes. Nausea is frequently a symptom of early appendicitis, often before right lower quadrant pain.
It's a definite possibility. Appendicitis typically persists as pain in the right lower abdomen. It can be associated with nausea, vomiting, fevers, chills, or diarrhea.
