Can bronchitis go away without antibiotics?

My 15 year old daughter has bronchitis. Can bronchitis go away without antibiotics?

Good morning. I am sorry your daughter is not feeling well. Diagnosis “bronchitis” simply put means inflammation of breathing channels. There are multiple reasons that cause this inflammation such as allergy, irritants inhalation, infection to name just a few. If the factors causing inflammation=bronchitis are eliminated, in theory bronchitis may resolve by itself. However, I wouldn’t recommend to rely on it without proper evaluation by a specialist- pulmonologist. Lung specialist will help establish exact reason for your daughter’s bronchitis and help manage and cure it.
