Can children wear a CPAP machine?

My 13 year old daughter may need a sleep aid machine. I want to know can children wear a CPAP machine?

13 year old should be fine using the CPAP but 1st line treatment of OSA in the pediatric population is tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
Yes they can, however, a majority of children may have enlarged tonsils and/or adenoids causing the obstruction. There are some congenital disorders in childhood that predispose to sleep apnea. They will still need a sleep study to determine the degree if any apnea exists. I have several obese teenagers with severe sleep apnea on CPAP.
Yes indeed they can definitely use CPAP. They need some extra help with mask fit and getting accustomed to the device. It's a good choice for children with apnea who are not appropriate candidates for tonsillectomy.
