“Can crowns be moved by braces?”
I am a 27-year-old female. I want to know if crowns can be moved by braces?

Just the same as natural teeth with no restorations even if the tooth has root canal fillings and is considered a dead tooth
Crowns can be moved with braces if they cover natural teeth. If a crown covers an implant - it can’t be moved.
All natural teeth can be moved be moved by braces except for teeth ankylosed to the bone. This is a rare occurrence usually caused by trauma. Also, teeth connected together by a fixed bridge cannot be moved. Nor can dental implants.
Crown should be solidly bonded or cemented to tooth structure. If this is the case then the tooth itself should be able to move. If the Crown is loosely placed and does not adhere to the tooth the Crown can move away from the tooth it self but this is a problem that the general dentist should take care of. Also if the Crown is placed on an implant, generally will not move; there for that particular Crown is cemented properly will not move . Many times it is difficult to bond or banned a Crown due to the smooth surface.
Crowns and teeth can be moved orthodontically by braces . Sometimes the bracket on a crown comes off which needs to be re cemented.
Yes, crowns can be moved with braces or clear aligners as long as the crown is on a natural root and not on an implant. An implant is designed to be fused to the bone, so it will not move. A crown on a natural root will move just like any other tooth, even if it has a root canal. Great question.

Yes, crowns could be moved. The braces applies pressure to the crown, and the root of the tooth moves
