I eat betel leaves everyday after my dinner to help with my digestion. But can this really cause oral cancer?

Hi,
Betal nuts are shown to be a cause for oral cancer. In India, many individuals eat Paan. An ingredient in this is betal nut and is directly shown to cause oral cancer. However, there are many different recipes available with using this ingredient (sweet paan, etc.).
Hope this helps.
