Can lack of sleep cause eye floaters?

My 14 year old says he sees eye floaters and doesn't sleep well. I want to know if lack of sleep can cause eye floaters?

Although sleep problems can contribute to eye problems, I'm not aware of any relationship with "floaters". Sleep deprivation can cause "eye spams" both issues worsened from stress. Dry eyes can be worsened by sleep loss as well.
No
I am not aware of any such association.

I am not aware of any study linking lack of sleep to floaters. New floaters should be checked by an ophthalmologist. Expect to be dilated. Lack of sleep in kids (and adults) can be associated with electronic screen use too close to bedtime. Don't use any screen two hours before bedtime.
Usually not. Eye floaters are genetic, related to trauma, or as we age.

No.
Floaters need to be evaluated by an ophthalmologist. They're not associated with sleep disorders.
Lack of sleep does not cause floaters. Have his eyes checked by an ophthalmologist.
No, lack of sleep does not cause floaters. To be noted is that eye rubbing of 'tired' eyes can cause momentary visual disturbances so turn off the video gaming console and get some sleep!
