Can Oxycontin cause nausea?

I'm 40, and I've been taking Oxycontin for a severe back injury. But now I've started having an upset stomach. Can Oxycontin cause nausea?

Yes, it can. Therefore, it should always be taken with food or milk.
Yes--ALL OPIATES (and Oxycontin is one of them called OXYCODONE--which is produced in a LONG ACTING formulation that is then marketed as OXYCONTIN) can cause nausea and/or vomiting and/or a common "queasy" feeling that may result in a lack of desire to eat. It also commonly cause constipation--especially in older people.
All opioids can cause nausea; vomiting; itching; urinary retention; constipation; respiratory depression; death.
Thank you.
