I am a 31 year old male. I want to know if sugar can cause an irregular heartbeat?

Not directly. I’m not aware of any instance of sugar loading causing a heart rhythm problem. Long term excessive carbohydrate and calories can lead to obesity and its associated risk factors (hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes) eventually resulting in heart disease and possible rhythm problems
