“Can typing be the cause of tennis elbow?”
I have had an office job for the past 5 years, and now my elbow hurts at the end of the day. I know this feeling from when I played tennis--but the elbow seems so unrelated to typing. Is it possible to get tennis elbow from typing?

Usually not. Tennis elbow comes from forceful gripping. Gripping a tennis racket, hammer, weed trimmer, etc.

Yes, it can develop from typing. More often, it is heavier repetitive motion with weight. It is a combination of microtearing and inflammation. Proper ergonomic setup in the office setup can help many conditions.
It is possible, since while typing you are extending your wrist for long periods of time. Stretches are the best way to treat tennis elbow.
