Can you get pregnant 2 days after ovulation?

I am a 25 year old female. I want to know if you can get pregnant 2 days after ovulation?

The sperm needs to be in the female genital at the time of ovulation. The egg only remains viable for 8 hours. If not fertilized in that time, it will be reabsorbed and no pregnancy can happen.
