“Can your stomach go back to normal after gastric sleeve?”
I am a 30 year old female. I wonder if your stomach can go back to normal after gastric sleeve?

I am not a bariatric surgeon, but generally, once you have a sleeve, your stomach does not have the same capacity hence why there is weight loss. But if you continuously eat large meals, you can stretch your stomach. I recommend always following the instructions of your bariatric surgeon.
Thanks.

No. Initially after surgery, the hormones controlling hunger and satiety (feeling full) are changed so that you are not hungry and get full quickly. Over time, your body starts to work around those hormones so that you hunger returns and you can eat more. It is typically not because your stomach "stretches" or returns to normal.
