Family Practitioner Questions Diabetes

Is it okay for a diabetic patient to consume coconut water?

My mother in law has blood pressure problems particularly during the summers. She is also highly diabetic. Is it okay to give her coconut waters to keep her blood pressure in check? Or is this not recommended for people with diabetes?

As long as it is sugar free it should be ok
Coconut water is used for electrolyte balance. For BP control, nitric oxide treatment may be a better choice.

Coconut water without added sugar is great. Check the label!!!
