“What is the after care required for contact lenses?”
I have a 18 year old son who has recently switched to contact lenses from his glasses. What is the after care procedure for using contact lenses? Are there any precautions to keep in mind when using contact lenses?

Clean your lenses regularly with the recommended contact lens cleaning solution (rub with your solution for ten seconds on each side, and rinse with your solution). It is advised to seek a six month or annual visit to your ophthalmologist. Thank you.
The most important rule for contact lens user is “aseptic technique”. Sure this is relative, not absolute. Basic points to keep in mind are: wash hands thoroughly, use suitable multi-purpose disinfect solution to rinse your eyes to make sure eye secretions or any debris within the eyes are rinsed off, add one small drop of artificial tears in the lens prior to placing in your eyes.
