We need to assess and do evaluation on you and take into consideration your weight, your height, and your age and also the metabolism. There could be multi factors or that could be just a local segmental issue. Then I have to assess if you have ketosis if you have scoliosis, if you have lordosis think of that nature, vital part or your diagnosis there are certain special test we do to assess whether there is a nerve entrapment, or lateral facet stenosis or spinal stenosis. I will palpate certain muscles in the back and assess if your muscles have increased tone or have trigger points or check for fibromyalgia. Another major thing to consider if the pain or discomfort in the back or is it traveling to your legs – if it’s traveling to your leg, then I will try to assess the so it’s not just a straight answer– we need to do a full thorough evaluation on you and come up with a proper diagnosis and a proper treatment plan of care.
I would love to be able to answer this question, but there are many directions we can take in regard to mid back pain. If you would like to set up a future appointment or even a consultation visit (60 minute visit versus 30 minute visit) to discuss what is going on so that I may further assist you, please feel free to reach out.
Middle back pain can be caused by poor posture, muscle strain, herniated discs, or underlying conditions like arthritis. It may also result from overuse, injury, or sitting for long periods. If the pain persists, consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
iT COULD BE MANY THINGS. To be safe, go see your primary doctor and get them to rule out dangerous conditions
Pain in this area could be muscular or cardiac, or stomach related as acid reflex. I need to know your age, sex, what kind of pain, how long it usually lasts, if it happened during rest or during activity, what kind of job you do. You really need a diagnosis, please see your PCP as soon as you can.
Hello,
There are many things that could be contributing to the pain and discomfort you are feeling. However, more information is needed. You would benefit from an evaluation by a skilled physical therapist for a full assessment.

There are many issues...herniated disc, muscles strain, facet impingement or sprain, etc. It's best to see a physical therapist for a proper evaluation and proper treatment.
Please reach out and get a physical therapy evaluation. There are too many possibilities. I promise that you won't be disappointed.
It's very difficult to answer your question without evaluating you, I'm sorry. Look for a manual therapist who is comfortable treating the spine, and especially one that is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) also referred to often as McKenzie treatment. He or she can help to focus on posture and movement which reduce your symptoms regardless of the exact structures involved. Hope that helps!
