Do I need a wheelchair after spine surgery?

I am a 49 year old male. I will have spine surgery soon. Do I need a wheelchair after spine surgery?

Generally you shouldn't unless specified by your spine surgeon. Good luck.
Thanks.
Most likely if you are not in a wheelchair before surgery, you will not need one after. Most times, physical therapist work with patients post op to make sure they are safe to walk when they are discharged.
Not likely. Depending on the type of "spine surgery" performed, a brace may be recommended, but not likely a wheelchair.

If you did not use a wheelchair prior to spine surgery, there is no reason why you would need one after spine surgery, unless something went seriously wrong which is extremely rare.
Patients after spinal surgery usually do not need a wheelchair after the operation. In fact, most patients are expected to ambulate out of bed after their operations. You might need to wear a brace dependent on the type of your operation such as spine fusion.
