Do braces change how you talk?

I am a 22 year old female. I want to know if braces change how you talk?

Braces do not change the way that you talk. After you first get your braces on, there is a period where your lips, cheeks, and tongue adapt and adjust to them, but that takes only a few days and does not change the way you talk.

Usually braces don’t change how you talk. Due the first few days you experience so irritation of the lips and cheeks due to rubbing of the appliances. This may temporarily cause a change. You will adapt quickly if you read aloud while at home. Speech issues like a lisp may improve as the alignment of the teeth improves.
No, braces normally do not change the way a patient speaks. Other appliances might, but braces usually do not.
Braces can have an effect on your speech for a few days until you lips and tongue get used to having them. I had braces on the inside of the teeth and my speech was slurred and lispy for about 2 weeks. But eventually, your tongue and lips get adjusted and the speech returns to normal.

Maybe for a very short time, hopefully a few hours if you are wearing clear tray aligners. Don't think braces are a speech handicap, they are not and you will get used to any effect even if you have to practice out loud with a few difficult words.
Remember the great ancient Greek orator who practiced speaking with stones in his mouth to improve the quality of his speech.
Excluding the first few days of getting braces, the answer is no. The worst comes in 3 days and then after, you will get used to your braces and all of your normal functions (eating, speaking, playing music instruments), they return to normal. Kids get used to braces faster than adults though.
