“Do crowns hurt afterwards?”
I am a 31 year old female and I will get a dental crown. Do crowns hurt afterwards?

They shouldn’t but occasionally they can be but usually a simple adjustment can be done to alleviate the discomfort.
Not usually. You might be sore for a day. We only live once. We have the choice to make today a great day.
Hello,
No, a crown on a tooth should not hurt. However, there are some things that might cause some discomfort afterwards. If the tooth has not had a root canal that means the nerve inside is still relatively healthy. The blood vessels inside the center of the tooth can get swell up (just like any other part of your body if you bang it) just from having the process of the crown done. Secondly, if your bite is a little off after the crown is made that can cause that tooth to take a little more force while chewing which would cause discomfort. This can be alleviated by a simple adjustment.
Hope this helps.
My best to you!
