In Traditional Chinese Medicine we learned that vertigo is a problem caused by heart and bile organs or viscera. A good practitioner should be able to help you with your vertigo.
The top choice. You may experience relief within several minutes after acupuncture needles are placed.
Vertigo can be tough to treat, but yes, it can help. I have a patient currently who I have treated and her dizziness is effectively gone now.

So, the definition of vertigo is a room spinning sensation...just so we are clearly talking about the same thing. Acupuncture usually helps this symptom (and many others). Oftentimes, this is associated with a diagnostic concept known as Phlegm Misting the Mind in Oriental medicine, which acupuncture derives from. Phlegm is a difficult thing to resolve even in our medicine. It takes time, lifestyle changes, and dietary changes to truly go away for good, but acupuncture can help eliminate the symptom. Without those further changes, it might or likely will come back in 6-12 months as the causes were not addressed if only needles (acupuncture) was employed. That's always up to the patient, and I have no judgment either way. But if it comes back, you should go get more acupuncture. Ideally, I like to see patients at least 1 time a month when they are healthy to prevent symptoms returning and maintain balance/health.
I hope that was helpful.

Yes, acupuncture helps. You also want to find out what is the cause. If there is anything grown in the brain or unbalanced blood pressure or inner ear problems, etc, you can seek a better solution.
Hope this helps.

In Chinese medicine, we have several specific treatments designed for vertigo, to include even Chinese herbs as well as acupuncture! And with great results. May you soon be blessed with healing!
Acupuncture usually provides great relief for patients experiencing vertigo. We will have to determine the cause of the condition to treat it effectively. Alexandre Hillairet, DAOM.

Thank you for your question.
Without know the cause of your Vertigo and history, it is hard to answer this question.
In very general, there has been research that supports treating certain types of Vertigo effectively.
It is important to make sure you have a medical doctor evaluate you to determine what is causing your Vertigo and that it is not a serious medical issue that would be best first treated medically.
Kind Regards,
B

Hi, yes acupuncture can help with vertigo. It would help to be assessed in person by an acupuncturist to determine the course of treatment.
Yes, we have acupuncture treatments for vertigo and migraines/headaches. I’ve noticed they’re often associated with tinnitus as well. The practitioner will examine you and categorize what your vertigo symptoms may present in terms of Chinese Medicine to have the best prognosis. However, if this is a result of trauma/injury or you feel this is the absolute worst-splitting headache of your life, please consult with emergent services.

For vertigo, acupuncture effect is not as good as expected since most times vertigo comes with high blood pressure and the most effective way to reduce HBP is western medicine.
Vertigo has different causes. From high or low blood pressure, to inner ear, to neurological disorders. One of the fastest and most effective methods to treat vertigo is through a Neuro Acupuncture Specialist. You can find one at Neuro-Acupuncture Institute.org
Hello and thank you for your question! Yes, acupuncture can help with vertigo! Chinese herbal medicine may be beneficial for you as well.
Yes - frequently good results once the etiology and the pathogen is considered. Eastern medicine combined with a good Rx can offer outstanding results and a team medicine approach.
Yes, it can. Your acupuncturist will likely work with a technique called moxibustion and/or herbal prescriptions.
It can, you'd need to have your practitioner diagnose the root issue and treat accordingly. Be sure to find a licensed acupuncturist in your area and tell them how it manifests so they can treat properly.
Yes, acupuncture can be an excellent treatment choice for vertigo. I've worked with several patients and usually get good results. There are also several well done studies showing acupuncture's effectiveness in vertigo patients.
For the best results, pleas make sure you're seeing a provider who is licensed as an acupuncturist in your state. To find someone local you can use the "Find a Practitioner" look up at NCCAOM.org.
