Does being cold cause a child to have peeling skin?

After a few chilly days my daughters hands are peeling a bit. Does being cold cause a child to have peeling skin?

In cold weather, we see a lack of moisture in the air and in our skin. Without this moisture, you can see dry and peeling skin. Usually with the addition of a skin moisturizer, the peeling you see on cold days will go away.

The cooler weather may cause her skin to dry out and thus peeling can be seen. Try using a good moisturizer and see if it helps. If it doesn't then make sure she sees her doctor.
