Otolaryngology Questions Congestion

Does a stuffy nose in the morning mean allergies?

I'm 40 years old, and this is relatively new. I've been constantly congested in the morning. Most of the time it's just with a stuffy nose, but I sometimes have phlegm. What's the cause of this? Could it be allergies?

It could mean a lot of things:

1) do you have pets?
2) is your filter in the house clean?
3) what is your daily food choice, i.e., dairy?
4) do you have feather pillows/comforters?
5) do you have carpet?

This list can go on and on.... Detox your body and home and eat clean.
I would say it is probably allergies. Try an otc preparation and if you still have problems see your family doctor
Not necessarily. Could be hypertrophic turbinates. See ENT. Can be addressed with in-office procedure
