Are there drops available to treat dry eyes?

Lately, I've been having dry eyes and they've also been feeling a little itchy. Are there any drops available to treat this?

Retaine is the best eyedrop for dry eyes. Pataday is the best eyedrop for itching.
There are literally dozens of drops to treat dry eyes AND itch is often a symptom of allergy- for which there are antihistamine and mast cell stabilizing drops as well! I recommend you see a doctor to determine which drops are best for the type of dry eye or allergic response you're experiencing. It takes a microscope and diagnostic dyes, meibography or special imaging to answer this question.
Hello! There are both prescription and over the counter drops that are helpful for people with dry eyes. I recommend scheduling an eye examination with your eye doctor. *Melissa Barnett, OD, FAAO, FSLS, FBCLA * she/her Director of Optometry | UC Davis SHCS Co-Host | GlobalEyes Podcast Global Ambassador | BCLA Board Member | Intrepid Eye Society Immediate Past Chair | AOA CLCS www.drmelissabarnett.com
Yes there are drops available to treat dry eyes and itchy eyes. Many times if the eyes are dry then the allergens do not get flushed out and that causes the itchy eyes. In order to get prescription eye drops, visit your eye care professional.
If its itchy then it can be allergies. Try taking the over the counter
Pataday 1x a day. For dryness use systane complete 1 drop 3x a day
Yes! please see your eye care specialists to discuss your options. Over the counter (OTC) eye drops provide temporary dry eye symptom relieve. There prescription eye drops that help with long term improvement of your dry eye condition.
Systane, Retaine, and Lumify are great eyedrops. They are over-the-counter.
Many many drops, but the first line of defense is to get a good eye examination to determine the cause of your discomfort. This way the root of the problem can be addressed, rather than opting to try random drops blindly, no pun intended!
There may be drops available for treating your dryness. The best way to know what treatment is needed in your case would be to get in for an eye examination and dry eye evaluation.
Plenty over the counter
Dry eyes is a chronic eye disease and can be diagnosed by a dry eye specialist. There are a few good products that are used to treat dry eyes. It will have to be quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed in order to recommend the proper treatment. If a patient asks me for a recommendation for a specific eye drop, I always recommend Retain MGD.

If you are having trouble, visit your local medically oriented eye care professional, they can advise on what’s appropriate for your eye specifically.

Thanks
Dry eyes is a chronic condition that needs to be assessed properly to determine the type and severity of dry eye syndrome. Since there are many different brands of dry eye drops on the market, your eye care professional will be the best person to determine the proper dry eye drops. I usually recommend most of my dry eye patients to use 'Systane Complete' five times a day, or more as needed. I then have my dry eye patients return in 1 - 2 months to assess if the specific brand of dry eye drop is working effectively.
Dry eye syndrome is a chronic illness. we can not cure this kind of diseases, but we can treat them. Most of the time we must treat the cause of the dryness. For example, eyelid malposition, blepharitis, rosacea, Demodex, post LASIK dryness and so on. Nanotears group eyedrops are the most effective eyedrops for dry eye syndrome.
Dry eyes treatment is different than ocular allergies. Over-the-counter drops for dry eyes are systane, refresh, retaine, etc. For eye allergies, you can use zaditor. Keep in mind there are many causes of dry eyes.
