Is it okay to eat meat after jaw surgery? Is it likely to weaken my jaw in any way or cause more pain due to the chewing?

It depends on what the surgery entailed. You should discuss this with your surgeon.
It is okay to eat meat, just no cheap steaks.
After everything heals up you can eat whatever you like, your jaw bone will be as strong as before the surgery
