What are the first few life saving steps that should be taken in case I, or a loved one, is having a stroke?

CALL 911!!! Minutes count!! There is NO home remedy or OTC medication that will perform a CT scan or give a clot-dissolving agent.
If it is not complicated sinusitis, no fever and purulent nasal discharge, someone may apply warm water in a bottle over a towel.
