Dietitian-Nutritionist Questions Celiac Disease

Help, I'm struggling with ceoliac disease.

Hi there, I've only been diagnosed with ceoliac disease for the past two years. But at the moment I'm really struggling. I get the monthly prescription of gluten free, wheat free, soya free, and oat free. I was doing well until the pharmacist have stopped doing the breads, etc., that I actually liked to eat. They said they're discontinued. Now, I'm really struggling. Please can you help?

If the diagnosis is correct and you have celiac disease, then the treatment is a gluten free diet as you have been doing. I'm not aware that pharmacists make gluten free bread, but you should be able to follow the diet by avoiding bread outright. See a registered dietician for sound advice on how to follow a strict gluten free diet.
There is an entire world of wonderful fruits and vegetables out there. Enjoy discovering them! No grains needed! Learn what they are and how to prepare them in a way that is most gratifying to you (no breading or frying allowed).
Why do you need prescription meds?

What other conditions do you have?

Gluten free food is easy if you cook your own meals at home. Just do not buy wheat flour or any prepared food made from wheat. Save money by cooking your meals at home. Do not panic. Stay calm and do what you know you have to do for your own sake.
Am I understanding correctly? You were purchasing your food at the pharmacy? If so, that might explain why you are struggling with your food choices. There are so many delicious gluten-free options available, I will list a few of the most popular brands for you if you do not like preparing your own gluten-free foods. There is Amy's Kitchen, Bob's Red Mill, Udi's, Schar, and Glutino, to name a few. For beers, we like Omission brand. To prepare your own gluten free recipes, simply purchase gluten free flour and prepare your own muffins, pancakes, scones, or cookies. There are many recipes online that you can discover. Of course, creating Asian dishes with steamed rice or rice noodles is my personal favorite way to eat gluten-free. Also, baked potato is gluten free and healthy instead of bread. I would definitely NEVER purchase food from a pharmacy! There are so many good gluten-free choices at the normal grocery store or online.
Good luck!
Most groceries have whole shelves of products labeled gluten-free.
