Bladder infections need to be treated with short course of antibiotics. Bladder infections in boys are uncommon & more often than not are related to a foreskin problem. He may well require treatment for a tight foreskin (Steroid cream or circumcision) in addition to antibiotics for the actual infection.
Usually with antibiotics increase hydration and make sure he is not holding urine all day at school. He would need a urine culture to determine the bacteria and make sure it is sensitive to therapy
