High cholesterol is most often caused by an imbalance in the omega 3: omega 6 ratio. This typically stems from consuming grain fed beef, grain fed pork, grain fed chicken and grain fed turkey. Feeding the animals grain instead of grasses changes the omega 3 and 6 in their meat. So first and foremost, eat only grass feed animals. Secondly add cold pressed chia seed oil and/or flax seed oil to your diet. In addition, eat walnuts if you are not allergic to them. These will help you change the ration and stop the build up of bad cholesterol. Stay away from canola oil and all margarines.
Exercise more, aerobic and weights. No fried food. Reduce red meat and dairy. That’s a good start.
