First visit your dentist to confirm it. Then have your dentist give you a syringe to use to rinse the area with mouthwash.
There is really no effective way to treat pericoronitis at home. Your dentist will need to properly diagnose and prescribe antibiotic as needed. The wisdom tooth involved may need to be removed as soon as possible to prevent more severe infection.
It really depends if you have an infection of not?? I would suggest you clean the area as best you can, either with a toothbrush or water pic. I would suggest you take some sort of anti-inflammatory medicine(motrin, Aleve). I would then suggest you go see your Dentist as soon as you can as this will be a problem that keeps coming back. If you have an infection you will most likely need some Anti-biotics for this to resolve temporarily.
It is better treated under the gum line, which you can not reach. We use instruments, medicine and the laser
You can't.
