“How can an osteopath help me with pain management?”
I have dealt with chronic pain for the past 2 years and my friend told me that I should visit an osteopath to help me manage it. How will an osteopath help me with my chronic pain?

Chronic pain is a multifaceted problem in which knowledge of the pain or trauma history, patient age, level of activity and fitness, as well as mental status all should be considered to approach from these multiple perspectives. A competent Osteopath could be expected to do that.
Absolutely! This is where osteopathy can shine - it can help with non medication based pain management by treating the cause of your pain with osteopathic manipulation.
The Osteopathic approach balances the tensions, stresses, and strains held within the musculoskeletal system. This not only improves function and ease within the muscular system, but also improves functioning of the nervous, cardiovascular and immune systems by decreasing physical restrictions around nerves, blood and lymphatic vessels. This will reduce the overall baseline toxic and energetic load on the neuromusculoskeletal system, and the body as a whole.
