No , we can only minimize exposure to amount of X- ray with special machine such as low dose CT scan but will not be able to completely eliminated the exposure.
Prevention is impossible. Your breasts can be shielded. If your pelvis is not being scanned, then your pelvis can also be shielded. The dose reduction with modern CT scanners is amazing. Radiation is now essentially down to the same dose as an X-ray.
CT scan is an X-ray procedure. X-rays are radiation. Ultrasound imaging and MRI imaging do not use X-rays.
