I am a 43-year-old female and I have gum pain from crowns. How do I get rid of pain in my gums?

Pain of the tooth and or gums is always and indication that something is wrong. Rinsing with warm salt water and or hydrogen peroxide will help for a short amount of time put you need to have a dentist evaluate the crown as soon as possible.
Sorry to hear about inflamed gums under the crown. Brush and floss, and use salt water rinses for time being! If the pain does not go away within 3 days, call your dentist, to check the fit, or possible excess cement under the gum, which needs to be removed! and check the bite and occlusion. Need to see X-ray to help you out further, for more information click here:

If your crowns were recently placed and you have pain then either the crowns may be poorly fitted or the teeth have become sensitive possibly due to exposed sensitive root surface.
If you have had the crowns for years and you are having pain then the teeth need to be thoroughly examined and they may need other treatment; root canal treatment for example.
