Often if you are doing an in-office whitening procedure the dentist may offer a take home system or you may want to ask about a take home system several weeks after completing your bleaching. At a minimum, you would want to do white strips at home.

Dear Patient,

Avoid colored foods such as mustard and ketchup for 48 hours.
Hello,

The best way to keep the results of your whitening longer is to avoid foods and drinks that cause staining as well as brush and floss after meals that include foods that stain. It is best to know what affects you the most, but usual foods are pasta sauce, wine, and the big ones like coffee and tea. Usually at this point, most people lose some of their desire to keep the results as long as possible. However, adding milk to tea or coffee significantly reduces the staining properties.
Hope this helps.

My best to you!
