Core stretching exercises, and adjustments
Stretching and foam rolling work super well. Chiropractic adjustments can greatly improve flexibility as well.
Go find a pelvic floor specialist to help you with that.
First we need to find out why they are so tight and usually it’s not from enough stretching. Our Pelvis can move in many directions and therefore it can get stuck in many directions causing the muscle tightness. Stretching all day won’t fix the problem. Getting the Pelvis aligned and functioning properly can loosen the tight muscles very easily.
There are multiple ways to alleviate tension in the pelvis. It depends on what specifically is going on. If you are an established chiropractic patient, they may be able to advise you on a care plan. If you are not, then it may be a great place to start.
The most important factor for those muscles is that they are strong. You should have a strengthened core in that area so that your body can maintain proper balance and posture. If you feel that the muscles around your pelvis are in spasm, then you should consider doing pelvic tilt exercises as well as hamstring stretches which will help. Consider doing Pilates or yoga as well.
I recommend speaking with a physical therapist who can give you specific stretches for the specific muscles you want to loosen.
