How do I stop my knees from hurting when I sit?

I am a 38 year old female. My knees hurt when I sit. How do I stop my knees from hurting when I sit?

The most common reason for knee pain while sitting is due to Chondromalacia Patella, or in simple terms cartilage damage under the knee cap. There have been many surgical procedures developed to address this condition, None that have been extremely beneficial. I would suggest that you first take the time and stretch the quadriceps muscle. That is the muscle in front of the thigh that crosses the knee and hip. When I say Stretch, I mean Stretch. Do a stretch multiple times in a day until it is stretched adequately and then check it on a daily basis to be sure it is stretched. There is a rather long explanation as to why this works but to keep this short and manageable just know I have found this to be extremely beneficial in my patients.
