How do you treat an exposed tooth root?

I am a 38-year-old male. I want to know how do you treat an exposed tooth root?

If you mean that the part of the gum tissue has been receded that the root is exposed, you need to get gum grafting.
Superficially, you can use a fluoride medicament-dentist or consume more vit D if it is sensitive. Other possibility is to receive a filling over against sensitivity. And, if it is from too harsh brushing, change the technique and a soft brush. If parodontitis, maybe a specialist can help further.
