My 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with diabetes. How does a 12 year old check their insulin levels?

Diabetics do not check insulin levels. They do check their glucose (sugar) levels and occasionally the HgbA1c levels, another way to check glucose. The glucose levels may be checked by a finger stick or a blood draw.
One doesn't check insulin but the result if insulin use, the glucose level, and determines the dose of insulin necessary on the glucose levels at various times if the day.
