It is diagnosed from history, physical examination, and laboratory studies. Blood and urine test will identify the infection and rule out condition with similar presentation. CT images from the abdomen can see an inflamed appendix (Appendicitis). Thank you.
Physical exam and ultrasound can diagnose it easily.

By evaluation in the ER with a surgeon. It should present with acute right lower quadrant pain, sometimes periumbilical, tenderness, and abnormal CT scan.
Please take him to a doctor since you shouldn’t be diagnosing this yourself.
Appendicitis is a clinical diagnosis along with radiological and blood specimens that can be utilized to aide in diagnosis. Right lower quadrant pain with an elevated white count can be present.
When there is a high suspicion of this, best is to have him checked, they will do further labs and scans to make sure on the diagnosis and to see if surgery is warranted, in having an appendectomy.
