My 15 year old son will get a heart stent next week. How long do you stay in the hospital after having a stent put in?

Usually there is a one night stay after stent placement. Sometimes in older kids you can go home the same day if all goes well. Occasionally the stay can be longer if there is concern for bleeding or infection.
