How long does an elbow replacement last?

I am a 58 year old female. I want to know how long does an elbow replacement last?

Generally elbow replacement will last for over 15-20 years. This can depend on both modifiable and non-modifiable characteristics. Good bone quality, appropriate exercise (heavy lifting/pushing may loosen) are two examples of what you have control over. Joints with destruction due to inflammatory arthritis (rheumatoid, psoriatic) and infection are non- modifiable and are more likely to loosen and require further surgery. Good luck.
