The most common cause of pain in the foot is plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation of the ligament in the sole of the foot. The pain was because usually at the heel where the ligament, i.e., plantar fascia attach. The plantar fasciitis was caused by sudden stretching of the plantar fascia, especially in the morning when getting out of bed. You can prevent the pain and inflammation from the plantar fascia by stretching exercise in the morning prior to getting out of bed. You should use a blanket wrapping around the sole of your foot and pulling the blanket up work to stretch your foot about 15 to 20 minutes. You can put a heel cushion in your shoes. You can also perform stretching of the plantar fascia by rolling your foot over the golf ball.
There are a hundred reasons, so I'll give you the top few. Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, metatarsalgia, over weight, tendonitis, and Morton's neuroma. Try something simple. Change your shoe wear. Make sure you get a tennis shoe with a good arch support that is well padded. If you're flatfoot, get a pair that are "antipronation" feature.
Hope it helps!!

The reasons for foot pain with walking/standing is long but perhaps we can give you some possibilities. Some of the most common in your age would be alignment issues (flat foot, high arch, wide forefoot). Make sure your shoe wear is appropriate. A shoe for flat foot is different than for high arch. Being significantly overweight can be problem. Alternate walking with non-loading activities such as bike, swimming and as pain improves slowly increase walking. Make sure you do not have stress fracture( get radiograph). This will also help with alignment. Make sure you have no evidence of neuropathy (diabetes, lower back issues). Probably not vascular but make sure pulses are strong and equal. If none of the above exist try building up strength with exercises to foot and ankle. Try to increase strength and activity over 6-8 weeks. A good history and exam can put you on the correct path. Progress slowly with exercise and stay safe. Good luck!!
Many different things can cause pain at the bottom of your feet with walking. It depends on where exactly the pain is and for that you need a good physical exam by an orthopaedic surgeon or a podiatrist.
