“How long does an arm fracture take to heal?”
My son is 9 years old, and he fractured his arm. How much will it take to fully recover from the injury?

Younger patients heal quicker. At nine years old, it usually takes about 6 weeks to heal, although it is usually not recommended to play contact sports for 10 weeks.
Depends on where the fracture is, but full, unlimited activity with no cast or splint is usually a minimum of 6-8 weeks.
A young healthy child’s bone usually will be fully healed within 6 weeks - bone remodeling still occurs over several months following that, but usually at 6 weeks they can return to activity. There could be a short period of 6-8 weeks after healing where the bone may be at higher risk of refracture with significant trauma. Please check with your orthopedic doctor on return to play and activity based on the location and severity of the fracture and whether or not a manipulation or surgery was required to fix it.
Usually about 6 weeks to some healing of the bone. Complete soft tissue healing might take a bit longer, but a healthy 9 year old will bounce back fast.
