Usually if you do a set between 12 to 15 sessions, its effect would or should last over 6 months, and then doing maintenance when needed.

I do not practice cosmetic acupuncture. I have met patients who swear it is great, but it's just not what I got into this medicine for. Sorry that i am not much help on this topic. My mom actually did facial acupuncture for a while and she was very impressed with results.
As far as how long acupuncture lasts... it depends. If your life is especially insulting to your health, nothing changes that but you. Acupuncture facilitates balance in the body, but nothing is a magic cure or can overcome the insults to our health that we engage in. It can correct them temporarily, or you could use acupuncture life long to manage the insults... but the only thing that is permanent is changing the insults.

Facial acupuncture focus is to create long-term changes in the health of the skin and body, not short-term quick fixes. At age 23, unless there is acne or other skin scars, it is not the usual age group that seeks facial rejuvenation. The recommended is 10 consecutive treatments once or twice a week to see optimum results, then once or twice per month as maintenance. The trained acupuncturist will also recommend dietary and movement therapies to complement and enhance the effects.
It’s better if you get facial acupuncture for maintenance of your health and face. It’s like you get maintenance for your car.
The effects of facial acupuncture are cumulative and last up to 3-5 years after a course of 10 treatments, with maintenance. Each patient will be different, but usually each patient will need maintenance treatments once per month or once per season. Also, each patient must be control stress of circumstance.
Acupuncture has a cumulative effect. If you are doing only one treatment, the effects are going to be minimal, however, one treatment per week for two months might provide some significant changes in the complexion and the elasticity of the skin. I would like to recommend good nutritional habits and exercises to further improve results of your condition.

The effects of acupuncture lasting usually depend on how well the patient responds to acupuncture and how long the condition has been affecting the patient; chronic conditions are usually the longest to treat. Without knowing more about what the facial treatment is for it’s much better to ask about the prognosis from the treating physician.

it all depends on multiple factors, like what is a current facial care, how much time you spend outdoors, do you tend to wrinkle your face as with facial expressions and during intense times, etc. Depending on current condition, amount of treatments will vary and can be requested up to 12 treatments ( 1 x wk). Acupuncture works very differently than any other therapy. Besides helping locally (facial wrinkles) by inducing circulation and collagen production, it will smooth out your skin and give it a younger appeal. Try it out. You will love it!

Hi, I do not do facial acupuncture so you would be better off getting particulars from someone who does. But my guess would be depending upon how well you treat your skin, hydrate and the environment you surround yourself with. Certain foods are known to increase or improve cell productivity and certain foods can worsen skin conditions. Proper and enough rest is also fundamental to cell turnover. Acupuncture is not meant to "fix" you, but to enhance your health, metabolism and immune system function. What lifestyle you partake in will greatly affect your skin, so you need to do the work to stay healthy to get the maximum benefit from acupuncture. Good luck!!

Hello & thank you for your question! The lasting effects of facial acupuncture vary from person to person based on lifestyle, diet, and additional factors. Typically, it is recommended that facial acupuncture is done in a series due to the cumulative effects of acupuncture, ideally once a week.
Hello! They can have long-term last effects, but will take up to 24 treatments and consistency is a factor in the beginning stages.
It is hard to answer, for my view, it should last two months.
Usually, it lasts for three to four months after one session treatment and we recommend to do the treatment per 3 months or 4 months.
Acupuncture in general (including facial acupuncture) has a cumulative effect. The more regular you are with treatments, the longer you will see results. Typically, practitioners will have patients start with treatments once per week and then decrease frequency as the patient is feeling more lasting results.
It can last for years but you have to comply with the treatment.

There are a few areas of Chinese medicine I don't work in or practice and cosmetic acupuncture is one of them. I did a quick search to see if there was any evidence beyond anecdote for how long the effects of cosmetic acupuncture might last and there doesn't appear to be much information.

Acupuncture treatment is rarely a "one and done" type of treatment. Usually there is a course of therapy followed either by a remission of symptoms or some sort of maintenance period.
A typical course of therapy, for just about any condition, is in the 8-10 treatment range. After this, a maintenance interval might range from once a month to quarterly to twice a year or less. Maintenance intervals tend to be very dependent on the individual case and are thus are very hard to predict in advance.
