I am a 37 year old male and I was diagnosed with PTSD. How long does it take to recover from PTSD?

Depends on the treatment. I would expect two months.
It depends on the severity of trauma, the treatment you are receiving, and the amount of effort you are willing to make. Without effective therapy, recovery is doubtful.
