How long does it take to treat a panic disorder?

I am a 36 year old female and I have a panic disorder. How long does it take to treat a panic disorder?

Panic disorder itself as a disorder tends to be chronic depending upon how long you have it before the treatment, and need to be treated long term with antidepressants either SSRI’s or SNRI’s class as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. However, the panic attacks could get better within 4-6 weeks of treatment.

Unfortunately, there is no one answer to this question. It depends on many variables. In my experience, panic symptoms are tied to specific life circumstances. Sometimes these circumstances are not clearly known to the person suffering. When they are made clear and addressed, the panic goes away.
