My 16 year old son broke his leg a week ago and has since been given a cast and crutches. How long does my son need to use crutches?

Until the doctor managing the cast allows him to begin to bear weight. The range is typically between 4 to 6 weeks but it depends on the fracture. The nurse at the office could give you a better idea I bet.
