“How long should it hurt after a tooth extraction?”
I need to have an extraction next week. I know I'll have local anesthesia and that'll numb the pain during the procedure. But how long will the pain last after it's done?

The worst pain is present on days 2-3. They pain should remit after days 3-5. Minimal if any pain should be present following 7-10 days.
Difficult to say. It depends on the difficulty of the extraction. If it is a simple extraction, only 2 to 3 days of mild discomfort; if it is a surgical extraction, it could be a bit painful for 4 to 5 days. You will get some pain meds if that is the case.
