It really varies for patients. Some are a day or two, others tell me a couple weeks. Key is to start taking something the day braces go on and keep taking it for several days.
Teeth can be sore for a few days or even up to a week after braces are put on.
Usually ones teeth are only sore for 2 to 3 days after having orthodontic appliances placed. You may also experience some soreness monthly when you have new wires or elastics placed. Taking ibuprofen or acetaminophen (Tylenol) should manage any discomfort that you may experience.
They will be sore for the first few days then usually subside. Some orthodontists hice a "chewy" that will relieve some of the soreness. Take ibuprofen or tylenol if you can for the first week.
That will depend on the level of correction for your teeth. Soreness can range from patient to patient.
Soreness usually lasts 2-3 days and then slowly decreases back to normal by day 5-7.
Your teeth will have various times of soreness teeth are being moved which puts pressure on the bone to move. Usually 3 days but every one has different pain tolerance so it may take less time or more time
